Program Description

The program titled “AI Inside-out: Exploring an AI-Powered Game World” is a pro bono initiative created in partnership with LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS, a prominent global game developer, and Tencent WeTech Academy. This program offers an in-depth exploration of core AI technologies utilized in the gaming industry, including advanced modules such as natural language processing, speech generation, cyber humans, Agent AI, and game data mining, among others. By employing a theory-and-practice learning approach, the program opens up a world of possibilities for integrating AI into gaming, enabling participants to experience the transformative potential of AI technology in game development firsthand.

Program Objectives

Note*

  • Students will receive a Certificate of Attendance upon completion of the program.
  • You must be available for the entire program duration. A 20% absence allowance is permitted for emergencies or sick leave, provided there is valid documentation. Students are responsible for notifying the program coordinator in advance of any expected absences; no exceptions will be made without prior approval. Punctuality is expected, and unexcused lateness may count as an absence. Students with less than 80% attendance or without valid reasons for absences will not receive the Certificate of Attendance.
  • Applicants who confirm their attendance but fail to attend will be ineligible to apply for future events.
  • Should any disputes arise, the decision made by HKUST will be final.
