Professor Emily NASON is the Director of Undergraduate Recruitment and Admissions at HKUST, responsible for furthering the University’s strategic objective to be a University of choice for talents, by proactively attracting and recruiting student talents of varied excellence to HKUST. She received her PhD in Human Resources and Organizational Behavior from UCLA and joined HKUST in 2005 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management, where she also obtained her BBA degree. Prof Nason is well experienced in undergraduate education and has taken up various program leadership roles within the Business School and served on multiple university and external committees. A passionate educator, Prof Nason believes the most important aspects in youth education are character building, instilling a passion in lifelong learning, and making positive impacts.

Chief Public Mission Officer

Ir Eric Chan is the Chief Public Mission Officer of the Hong Kong Cyberport. Chan is in charge of the public mission operation at Cyberport, building the ecosystem of nurturing start-ups from inspiring the next generation, through nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit, to empowering global ambition, through comprehensive entrepreneurship programmes with funding and other value-added services.

Chan has over 30 years of experience in the ICT industry, a chartered engineer, a chartered marketer, and a Fellow of Institution of Engineering & Technology (UK). Prior to joining Cyberport, Chan held various senior positions in global ICT companies. Chan has been active in public services, especially in education and industrial training, professional bodies, and charitable organisations. Chan is the Chairman of Knowledge Management Development Center, Chairman of Industrial Training Advisory Committee (ICT Sector) and serves on a number of advisory committees under Education Bureau and Culture, Sports & Tourism Bureau. He also serves on advisory boards and mentorship programs at the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the City University of Hong Kong.

With the purpose of moving people forward in life, Aldric currently leads Cathay’s efforts in AI, data science, analytics, innovation and digital transformation across the organisation. Aldric started his career with Cathay’s inflight services team in 2008. As part of the Swire Management Programme, he has held a number of managerial positions in customer relationship and retail, e-commerce and Lean process improvement in Hong Kong, and overseas as the airline’s Country Manager in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. Aldric graduated from MBA program at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Fred Sheu

National Technology Officer

Microsoft Hong Kong

 

As National Technology Officer at Microsoft Hong Kong, Fred Sheu supports policy decision and delivers technologically relevant solutions into Hong Kong market. Fred’s main objectives are to align IT value propositions to public policies in such areas as healthcare, education, the environment, and local social and economic development; and to promote a digital agenda in top policy areas, including innovation, AI, security and privacy, technology neutrality, accessibility, and interoperability.

Prior to Microsoft, Fred worked with Hewlett Packard (HP) Enterprise where he was the General Manager of Software for HPE Hong Kong.

Fred Sheu is a seasoned leader in Hong Kong’s ICT sector, having served in advisory roles across the Hong Kong Computer Society, itSMF Hong Kong Chapter, and the Hong Kong Information Technology Federation (HKITF). He currently sits on the Innovation and Technology Training Board (ITBB) of VTC and convenes its IT sub-committee.

Fred also contributes to government and industry development as a member of OGCIO’s “IT Innovation Lab in Schools” Program, Chairman of the Innovation, Data & Communication Committee at the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, and member of the HKSAR Digital Economy Development Committee’s Talent Development subgroup.

He currently lectures on AI for Business at both the University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Additionally, he holds the position of Adjunct Professor at City University of Hong Kong.

Fred graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Computer Science (Hon) degree.

Her professional journey reflects a commitment to driving business growth in local personal banking, amplifying brand presence, and optimizing wealth management services.

As a customer-centric expert, Tania has successfully spearheaded the launch of multiple innovative bank brand propositions and led numerous high-impact marketing campaigns that resonate deeply with the market. Her strategic vision has been pivotal in redefining customer engagement and elevating brand equity in a highly competitive landscape.

Tania pursued her higher education in Canada, where she double majored in Psychology and Business Administration before earning her MBA from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Henry Wong is Chief Architect, Data Science at Hong Kong Disneyland, where he leads teams responsible for data, innovation, and business integration within the Technology and Digital organization. He and his team oversee the management of the company’s wide array of databases, data platforms, tools and services, etc., that enable leaders and analysts across the business to make informed, data-driven decisions. In recent years, Henry and his team expanded their focus to advance the adoption of AI, automation, and productivity solutions across lines of business. 

Henry has been with Hong Kong Disneyland for 15 years. Before his current role, he has held a range of planning, analytical, and operational leadership roles in the sales organization. Henry holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
