Description

学生签证申前必读 

  1. 没有香港特别行政区(HKSAR)居留权或入境权的学生必须申请学生签证,以便在香港接受教育。持旅游签证或旅游签注参与任何学术相关活动的学生将被视为非法行为。每位学生有责任在来港之前申请正确的签证。
  2. 香港入境事务处(HK ImmD)通常需要8至10周的时间来处理您的学生签证申请(从收到所有所需文件之日起计算)。个别情况可能有所不同,尤其是在您的文件不完整的情况下。因此,我们强烈建议您尽早申请学生签证。
  3. 申请成功后,您将收到确认电子邮件,说明如何从香港入境事务处的网站下载您的电子签证(e-Visa)。
  4. 每个入境许可证仅适用于一个项目,且根据入境事务处的规定,短期学习的总时长在任何12个月内不得超过180天。
  5. 对于中国内地申请者,请额外预留2周时间,因为在收到电子签证(e-Visa)后,您还需前往相关内地机构申请往来港澳通行证(EEP,港澳通行证)及相应的逗留(D)签注。
  6. 申请有效的学生签证至关重要,您应打印出电子签证,并在前往香港时随身携带。您的电子签证(e-Visa)和往来港澳通行证(EEP)将在抵达香港时接受香港入境事务处(HK ImmD)的检查,并在开学第一天由香港科技大学(HKUST)工作人员查验。
  7. 学习签证申请的费用为600港币,任何情况下均不予退还。请使用信用卡完成付款

 

所需文件 

  1. 收到香港科技大學发出的录取通知书 

  2. 準備申请学生签证+小白条所需材料 

    1. 香港入境事务处申请来港就读申请表 ID 955A 

      • 使用A4白纸单面打印第 1-4 页。请确保条形码能够清楚显示在每一页的底部。  

      • 只需填妥第 1-4 页 (第 2 页中第 3 部分无须填写)。    

      • 根据需要在右下角的每个页面上签名。请注意:数字签名和键盘输入不能作为签名  

      • 根据第 2 页的指示附上一张净色背景的正面近照。 

    2. 学生签证申请表 (申请按此)

    3. 监护人提名书 & 出生证明(仅适用于未满18岁学生)  

    4. 获提名的监护人,必须拥有有效的香港身份证并且目前居住在香港

      • 请将授权监护人的香港身份证复印件与监护人提名书一并上传(如适用)  

      • 若您没有在香港的监护人,请提名香港科技大学作为授权监护人 

    5. 正式录取通知书+署名回执 

      • 已签署的回条或系统确认截图或电邮确认通知信等  

    6. 中华人民共和国身份证  

      • 请提供正面及反面 

    7. 常住人口登记(户口本) 

      • 请提供详细个人信息的页面 (例如出生日期,曾用名等)。  

    8. 财产证明 

      • 香港人民入境事务处对申请者提供的财务文件有严格要求。 申请人或其财政资助人须有足够能力支付学费和留港日常生活费用。申请人须提交下列其中一项文件作为财政证明:

      • 流动资产证明 

      • 最近3个月内的银行流水银行对帐单,存折或银行存折和/或您自己/财务担保人的储蓄/定期存款证明(没有冻结期限的要求),并带有银行印章。

      • 税收收据,工资单,聘用书 经济援助或奖学金的奖励函。 

      • 请注意,如用网上/网印版的银行账单作为财务证明,此证明必须带有申请人或财政资助人的全名及在最近3个月的余额。  

      • 财产担保人户口本(如有) 

      • 请提供详细个人信息的页面(例如出生日期,曾用名等) 

汪意事項 

  1. 电子簽证+小白条不能扔!过关时等多种情境下仍会用到 

  2. 签证申请需时时8-10周(夏季旺季为10-12周)处理中国内地申请人,须额外预留2星期申请港澳通行证及相关出境签注逗留D)。 

  3. 网上签证申请系统不接受扣賬卡。请使用信用卡付款 

  4. 拿到正式录取后需立刻开始学生签证申请

  5. 提交录取通知书是可以将申请系统截屏

Important Notes for Student Visa Application 
Description
  1.  Students without the right of abode/right to land in Hong Kong Special Administration Region (HKSAR) are required to apply for a Student Visa for the purpose of education in HKSAR. Students who use travel visa or travel endorsement to participate in any academic-related activities will be regarded as illegal. It is the responsibility of individual students to apply for a correct visa before they come to Hong Kong. 

  2. The Hong Kong Immigration Department (HK ImmD) takes eight to ten weeks from to proceed your student visa application upon receipt of all required documents. The processing times maybe vary amount different individuals, particularly if your documents are incomplete. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to apply for the student visa as soon as possible.  

  3. Upon successful application, you will receive a confirmation email on how to download your e-Visa from HK ImmD’s website. 

  4. Each entry permit is valid for only one program, and the total duration of short-term study should not exceed 180 days within any 12-month period, according to the Immigration guidelines. 

  5. For Mainland Chinese applicants, please reserve an additional 2 weeks, as after receiving the e-Visa, you should visit relevant mainland authorities to apply for an Exit-Entry Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao (EEP) (港澳通行證) and a relevant exit endorsement (逗留D簽). 

  6. Applying for a valid Student Visa is crucial and you should print it out and bring it with you along the travel to Hong Kong as your e-Visa and EEP will be checked by the HK ImmD upon arrival in Hong Kong and by HKUST staff on the first day of classes. 

  7. The fee for the Study visa application is HKD 600 and is non-refundable under any circumstances. Please use a credit card to complete the payment.

Required Documents 

  1. Admission letter from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. 

  2. Prepare materials needed for student visa application and the landing slip: 

  1. a. Hong Kong Immigration Department application form for studying in Hong Kong (ID 955A). 

  1. - Print pages 1-4 on A4 white paper, single-sided. Ensure the barcode is clearly visible at the bottom of -each page. 

  1. - Only fill out pages 1-4 (no need to fill out section 3 on page 2). 

  1. - Sign at the bottom right corner of each page as needed. Note: Digital signatures and keyboard inputs are not accepted as signatures. 

  1. - Attach a recent color passport-sized photo with a plain background as instructed on page 2. 

  1. b. Student visa application form for studying in Hong Kong. (Click Here)

  1. c. Guardian nomination form & birth certificate (only applicable for students under 18). 

  • - The nominated guardian must hold a valid Hong Kong ID and currently reside in Hong Kong. 

  • - Upload a copy of the guardian's Hong Kong ID along with the guardian nomination form (if applicable). 

  • - If you do not have a guardian in Hong Kong, you may nominate the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology as the authorized guardian. 

  1. d. Official admission letter + signed acknowledgment receipt 

  • - A signed acknowledgment receipt or a screenshot of the system confirmation or email confirmation letter, etc. 

  1. e. People's Republic of China ID card. (Both the front and back.) 

  1. f. Household registration. 

  • - Provide pages with detailed personal information (e.g., date of birth, former names, etc.). 

  1. g. Financial proof. 

  2.       - The Hong Kong Immigration Department has strict requirements for financial documents provided by applicants. The applicant or their financial supporter must have sufficient funds to cover tuition fees and living expenses in Hong Kong. The applicant must submit one of the following documents as financial proof: (1) Proof of liquid assets: - Bank statements (bank statements, passbooks, or bank savings books) from the last 3 months and/or savings or fixed deposit certificates from the applicant or financial supporter (no frozen period required), with bank stamp. (2) Tax receipts, pay slips, or employment letters. (3) Award letters for financial aid or scholarships. 

  •     - Note: If using online/printed bank statements as financial proof, the document must include the full name of the applicant or financial supporter and the balance from the last 3 months. 

  1. h. Financial guarantor's household registration (if applicable). 

  • - Provide pages with detailed personal information (e.g., date of birth, former names, etc.). 

Important Notes 

  1. Keep the electronic visa and landing slip as they may be needed in various situations during your stay. 

  2. Visa applications take about 8-10 weeks (10-12 weeks during peak summer season). Applicants from mainland

  3. China should allow an additional 2 weeks to apply for the Hong Kong and Macau travel permit and relevant exit endorsements (stay D visa). 

  4. The online visa application system does not accept debit cards. Please use a credit card for payment. 

  5. Start the student visa application immediately after receiving the formal admission letter. 

  6. Submitting the admission letter will allow you to take a screenshot of the application system.
