The School of Science comprises five academic units: Life Science, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Ocean Science. Aside from traditional degree programs in core disciplines, the School offers innovative degree programs unique to the region and gives students with specialized interests the opportunity to pursue careers in research through the International Research Enrichment (IRE) Program.
Ranked as the top engineering school in Hong Kong, the School of Engineering is also recognized as a world-class academic powerhouse. All bachelor of engineering degree programs are accredited by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and widely recognized around the world through the Washington Accord and the Seoul Accord.
The top-ranking School of Business and Management gives students a world-class business education with extensive global exposure. We offer our students a variety of program choices (nine BBA and three BSc programs), ample opportunities for learning outside the classroom such as corporate projects and internship programs, and a strong career and alumni network. Our students’ success is our business.
Ranked first in citations in social sciences among Asian universities, the School of Humanities and Social Science offers the largest interdisciplinary program in the humanities and social sciences in Greater China. It provides an explicit program-wide comparative perspective in Global China Studies, along with integrated training in data, methods and theory for the study of social phenomena in Quantitative Social Analysis.
Working closely with all Schools, the Interdisciplinary Programs Office brings together different disciplines to offer educational experiences in the fields of technology, management, environment, sustainability, and innovation. It also gives students the opportunity to take an Individualized Interdisciplinary Major, the first in Greater China, allowing them to create their own curricula and fulfill their intellectual interests.
