This pre-university program prepares secondary students for the academic demands of university study by developing proficiency in AI-supported learning and foundational AI literacy. The program will introduce students to basic concepts of AI and AI workflow, using their own learning practices as the context. Students will first reflect on their learning needs and realize the opportunity of personalized learning brought by AI. Then, students will develop their own approach to making learning more efficient while enhancing their understanding of university academic integrity. Through the program, students engage in self-directed learning, build a personalized no-/low-code AI agent, and complete a mentored project culminating in a final showcase with peer feedback. No prior programming experience is required.
- Explain core AI concepts, the AI workflow, and agentic AI; build a simple no‑/low‑code agent.
- Apply prompting techniques to plan, generate, and iteratively refine academic work.
- Practice self‑directed learning using AI tools (planner, timeboxing, documentation).
- Evaluate AI’s impact on various industries and outline AI‑enabled roles and study pathways.
- Use AI responsibly in academic contexts, integrity, and system limitations.
- Collaborate in teams to develop, present, and produce and showcase a self‑defined SDL project; reflect on learning and next steps.
