Yes. If you have extra qualifications, you may include them in your application profile. It will supplement your application.
No, you don't. All documents, including personal statements, school transcripts, official transcripts, academic references and all other supplementary documents are to be submitted online. It is not necessary to mail any document to HKUST unless requested.
Yes. HKUST can only accept documents in English and Chinese. If your documents are in other languages than these two, please prepare an official English translation of the documents or an English translation endorsed by your school.
An admissions interview may be arranged, but is not a mandatory procedure of the admissions exercise except for some programs. When you are invited for an interview, our colleagues will contact you on the arrangements via email.
Most interviews are conducted through electronic means. Under very seldom circumstances, we may invite you to attend an in-person interview. Detailed arrangements will be confirmed by the University.
After accepting an admissions offer, all non-local students should apply for a student visa/entry permit. Please follow the instructions stated on your offer letter and send your visa application package to our office. Our admissions officer will collaborate with the Immigration Department of Hong Kong to facilitate your student visa application.
