"Studying in CBE gave me plenty of options of industries to work in after graduation, from textiles and beverages to petroleum and fuel cells. Because of the freedom and flexibility offered in CBE, I was able to refocus my education towards renewable energy technology, when I originally chose to study Chemical Engineering to get into the oil and gas industry. I was also able to complete a research option under Prof. Richard Lakerveld and get experience writing academic papers. Despite being a foreigner and not speaking very good Cantonese, I still enjoyed my time in CBE, as my classmates and professors were very welcoming!"
